Driver Terms

The terms that apply when you use HaloRide to offer rides as an independent driver.

Dernière mise à jour: 1 novembre 2026Drivers

Ce document est fourni en anglais. En cas de traduction, la version anglaise prévaut dans la mesure permise par la loi locale.

1. Our relationship

You use the HaloRide driver app to receive ride requests and agree fares with riders. You are an independent provider of transportation services and are free to choose when, where and whether to go online and which requests to accept, except where local law establishes a different relationship.

2. Requirements to drive

To be approved and to stay active you must:

  • hold a valid driving licence and any permits required locally;
  • pass identity verification, including a selfie matched to government ID, and keep your details current;
  • provide a guarantor where required;
  • use a vehicle that meets our standards, passes a partner-garage inspection, holds valid registration and insurance, and keeps its Car Score above the active threshold;
  • complete periodic photo check-ins and, where enabled, a selfie check at the start of a shift.

3. Offers, counters and fares

You will see each offer with the fair range, a breakdown and your estimated take-home after fuel and HaloRide’s service fee. You may accept, counter within the limits shown, or decline. Once a rider selects your response, you agree to complete the trip at the agreed fare, subject to adjustments described in the app.

4. Service fee and payouts

HaloRide charges a service fee (commission) on each fare and collects a per-trip safety fee from riders. Current rates are shown in the app and on each earnings statement.

For card and wallet trips we credit your earnings to your HaloRide balance. For cash trips you keep the fare and your balance is debited for the service and safety fees. If your balance falls below the limit shown in the app you must settle it before going online.

Payouts are made weekly to your verified bank account, or on demand for a fee shown before you confirm.

5. Cancellations and no-shows

You may cancel where the rider has not arrived after the waiting period shown, in which case a no-show fee may be charged to the rider and shared with you. Frequent cancellations without valid reason may limit your access to the platform.

6. Safety and conduct

You must drive safely and lawfully, follow the Community Guidelines, never ask for payment outside the app beyond the agreed fare, and never drive while impaired. Trip monitoring, SOS and danger-zone alerts are available to you on every trip.

7. Insurance

You must maintain motor insurance that meets local legal requirements for carrying passengers for reward. HaloRide may offer additional trip cover in some markets; its terms will be provided separately.

8. Data and location

While you are online or on a trip we collect your location and related data as described in our Privacy Notice, including to match you with riders, monitor trip safety and calculate earnings.

9. Deactivation and appeals

We may restrict or deactivate access for breaches of these Terms or the Community Guidelines, for safety reasons, or where required by law. Except where urgent safety concerns apply, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to respond. You may appeal any decision through the app.
